Wensleydale Brass Band Competition
The school brass band took part in The Wensleydale Tournament of Song in Leyburn On and we are very proud to announce that they won their class! They have been working incredibly hard and this showed in their brilliant performance. Well done everyone!
Whole School Choir in competition at Wensleydale
The competition was attended again on Friday 5th April-this time it was the whole school choir with 20 children between the ages of 5 and 11 taking part. They entered three classes-Union song, Unaccompanied Round and two-part Harmony Song. The children sang wonderfully and won the Unison category with distinction having competed against 11 other schools. In the other categories, they came a very respectable 2nd place achieving distinctions in both categories. Overall, the school came joint first winning the Margery Burrill trophy for the school with the most points.
