Archery Day
On Tuesday, it was archery day so we had to go in our coats because it was cold and windy. In assembly, the man told us that the arrows were the most common weapon in the Saxon times. He told us lots of gruesome history.
We all had a go, but I wasn’t very good at first. You have to pull the sting to the corner of your mouth with 3 fingers. At first, I hit the ground because I pulled it only as far as my shoulder. I got better as the time went on. We had a competition but a boy from the other school won. By Tom
