A Visit to our School by Bishop Helen Ann the Bishop of Ripon
On Thursday, we had a special guest to our school. The Bishop of Ripon, Bishop Helen Ann, came to visit. The Bishop started her day with a tour of the school. She first looked in on the children of Class 1 who were eagerly engaged in some online phonics challenges. Next she visited the children of Class 2 who just about to start their maths lesson on multiplication, division, perimeter and area.
After seeing more of the school, Bishop Helen Ann joined the children, staff and governors for lunch. As always, it was a great success, thanks to Sarah. The Bishop enjoyed chatting to our pupils over lunch.
After lunch she was invited to a special one -off short concert from our Monday Music Club, they were fantastic. Her time with us ended by her leading an assembly about Advent.
It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to meet and talk with the Bishop and it is indeed good to know we have her support and backing and that she would love to return to our school for another visit.
Do not panic, if you think the children in the photograph look unhappy, they were meant to be unhappy as part of their roles to help with the assembly.
